What is LED Light Therapy?

LED (Light Emitting Diode) Light Therapy is a skincare treatment that uses a different wavelengths of light, including blue, green, red and purple. It is used to help fight a variety of skin issues such as acne, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.

How does the LED Light Therapy work?

LED Light therapy works by emitting low light wavelengths through the skin. This is 100% safe and is not using UV light. The light penetrates the outer layers of the skin, much like sunlight. When you are soaking up the sun, your skin doesn’t just absorb the heat from the sun, it also absorbs its light.

What are the benefits for LED Light Therapy?

LED Light Therapy is pain-free and non invasive. The benefits vary by the light being used:

  • Blue: Highly effective at treating acne. Helps repair rough skin surfaces and makes skin smooth, also helps treat, prevent and eliminate acne.

How do I use Just Kind Co's Lina LED Light Therapy?

  1. Turn on the device (Press the power button for more than 3 seconds to turn it on) and select your light mode.
    • Blue Light: Helps repair rough skin surfaces and makes skin smooth, also helps treat, prevent and eliminate acne. (Activates heat)
    • Green Light: Improves skin brightness and smoothness
    • Red Light: Promotes the growth of collagen production, helping you restore skin elasticity and glow, effectively inhibits skin wrinkles/darkness/stain (Activates heat)
    • Purple Light: Help reduce visible acne and acne marks and help improve the circulation of blood. Also helps eliminates toxins and inflammation (Activates heat)
  2. Direct the LED light at each target area for 4 minutes with your serum or sheet mask, then move on to the next area.
  3. Apply your favourite skincare products. (i.e. moisturisers). 

Using a serum during or after your light therapy session may speed up the results. For the best results, look for products containing peptides, retinol, vitamin C, or argan oil.

How often should I use LED Light Therapy?

When using the LED Light Therapy, use it five times a week to help see results so patience and discipline will be essential. It is easy to integrate within your routine while watching Netflix or reading a book.

Best practices

  • Your skin must be clean and without make up before you use the LED Light Therapy.
  • Use your selected LED Light for 4 minutes per area of the face.
  • Recommended to be consistent with your treatments daily to achieve faster results.
